Introduction

Pirie Saw Mills is a family owned business situated in the middle of the Cwencwe and Isidenge indigenous forests near Stutterheim in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. All the timber resources come from cultivated pine plantations in the surrounding areas.

The Company was started in 1967 after the consolidation of smaller
"bush mills" dating back to the 1940's. Most of the timber products are sawn at our sawmill using narrow bandsaws. We are SABS mark holders for structural timber as well as for the chemical treatment for the preservation of structural timber. The company specializes in mouldings and timber framed housing components.
